Low Vision

Auvi is a pair of AR glasses designed to improve and optimize today’s visual-aids. Through technology and design we created a discreet product that makes life easier for patients with Low Vision, especially people suffering from Age-related Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma.

This product is not only customizable, but it can also be used by other members of the family for entertainment, as it offers an immersion into the world of Augmented Reality.

After having analyzed the most used devices in low vision we realized that they were very large, expensive, difficult to use and difficult to wear. Here we came to the conclusion that the smaller the size, the lower the weight, the lower the price and in general the less feeling of wearing something, the higher the result. Less is more.

AUVI. Discretion as a fundamental pillar in vision aid glasses.

It minimizes the size of the current visual-aid devices in the market.
It reduces the cost: psychological barrier of less than 1000 euros
It favors aesthetic customization, adapting to the user’s style (classic, modern, urban, feminine or sporty)
It enhances usability by optimizing the Field of vision of other AR glasses
It improves the user interface thanks to the Auvi App installed in the glasses and controlled by the user’s cell pone

Our goal here is to open a new path (among those that are already open) and offer a disruptive perspective on optical aids existing in the market, this project is not exclusive but is a nod to create synergies with other teams and lines of research and thus create a multidisciplinary result that perfects the patient experience.
